MASERU — Local advertising and communications outfit Bochabela Evolution is going to host its debut fashion fiesta at Maseru Mall on November 30.
The Annual Maseru Summer Fashion Show, which will run under two themes, is intended to give local designers the privilege of appealing to their target market.
The themes are the red-carpet elegant style and the African print designs.
It is a black tie event of its kind and the first-ever to be held at Maseru Mall, Lerato Chopho speaking on behalf of the organisers told XpressPeople.
“Bochabela Evolution aims at integrating advertising and communication throughout the country and beyond, as well as building strong interpersonal relationship with its clientele.
“As a way of broadening our spheres, we decided to venture into events management as a result we only found it fit to render local fashion designers the platform to showcase some of their best designs.
“People perceive the fashion-design industry as one that can be pursued by people who have failed to excel at school and we are trying to change that mindset.
“They should see it as an industry in which one explores his or her creativity and can actually prosper through it,” stressed Chopho.
She added: “We can arguably say that there is no fashion panorama here in Lesotho, we consider fashion as that which the media feeds us.
“It is time our own fashion designers put their mark out there.”
There will be ten designers showcasing their masterpieces.
Twenty models of different sizes and height will be used, based on the clothes to be displayed
