SOME of the local artistes who are set to perform at the Lesotho Times Fan Fest on 3 November 2018 at Setsoto Stadium lit up The Deck in Maseru on Friday night, leaving revellers begging for more.

The Friday performances were meant to give patrons a taste of what to expect at the fanfest which is aimed at celebrating Lesotho Times’ more than a decade of service.

Kicking off the party was DJ Kopper who held it down with Naija (Nigerian) tunes that had the crowd, mostly ladies, singing along throughout his set.

DJ Dimo followed up with house hits that quickly drew most of the patrons to the dance floor. DJ Boots started his set with Afro pop hits before migrating to house hits.

The dance duo, Super Twins, stole the show with a medley of Sbujwa, Hip Hop and Famo dance routines. Their short performance was enough to entice the revellers.

The party session was the first of several others scheduled for every Friday around Maseru until the event on 3 November.

The fanfest is organised by Plan A events management and sponsored by Maluti Mountain Brewery, Sefalana Liquor Lesotho, AVANI Hotels, Afro Media and PC FM.

According to Refiloe Mohlotsane of Plan A, patrons should be on the lookout for several parties which will be held in different areas. She said patrons who buy tickets and MMB products at the promotions stand a chance to win prizes on the spot.

“There are eight more party sessions scheduled for different parts of the country to areas to activate the Lesotho Times Fanfest and our next stop will be Cuban Linx on 5 October 2018 (Friday),” Mohlotsane said.

“The idea is to get people to get people into a festive spirit and also create awareness. Ticket and MMB products buyers during this promotion stand a chance to win instant prizes which include cooler boxes, t-shirts and bags among others.”

After Cuban Linx, the next party will be at Monate Café in Khubetsoana on 7 October, Twisters in Ha Matala on 12 October, Jalopy in Mafeteng (13 October), Kaycee’s in Roma (17 October), O-Zone in Hlotse (27 October), Provocateur in Teyateyaneng (20 October) and finally at Kasi Kota in Ha Pita on 28 October 2018.
