econetAS part of Lesotho’s golden jubilee celebrations, Econet Telecom Lesotho (ETL) has launched a promotion in which customers will get 500 percent airtime and 1000 percent bonus data upon every recharge regardless of the denomination.

According to ETL Products Manager – Voice Nts’etseng Letsae, the promotion was launched on Thursday with the dual purpose of celebrating independence and providing affordable telecommunication access to all Basotho.

Ms Letsae said every airtime recharge would qualify for 500 percent bonus airtime which allowed the subscriber to make ETL-to-ETL calls all day on the day of recharge until midnight when the benefit expired. She added that the same recharge would reward customers with 1000 percent bonus data.

She also explained the bonus airtime would take first priority on existing balances, except in cases where the customer had subscribed for Nchoathi.

“For example, if a customer recharges with a M5 voucher, M25 airtime plus 50MB free data will be loaded into their account which is equivalent to M20 extra airtime and free data” Ms Letsae clarified.

The bonus airtime would however not be transferable while calls to other networks and SMSes would be charged normal ETL rates.

The promotion came hot on the heels of the Crazy Wednesday campaign that ended on 28 September 2016, which also offered bonus airtime on recharges. The promotion will end on the midnight of the Independence Day on Tuesday. – Staff Writer.
