Econet offers free data to new fiber customers

IN ORDER to simplify the lives of newly connected fiber customers’ and encourage quick and easy access to the product, Econet offers new customers 1GB free data.

Itumeleng Mpasi, Econet’s Product Manager for Data said that the free data will be received by new customers only. She said that the initiative is meant to improve customer education at home and work since the technician will not only test the product functionality but will leave the customers’ premises with the assurance that they know how to use the service provided.

“We have realized that even after a thorough product education by the technicians upon installation, most customers still struggle to access the service because there was no actual customer experience in the presence of the technicians” said Mpasi

“This gap is usually filled by a second visit to the customers’ premises upon data purchase” added Mpasi

Mpasi said that the free data will be loaded upon installation so that technicians can educate customers on how the product is used, recharged upon data depletion and the contact numbers customers can call for fault reporting.
