ECONET Telecom Lesotho (ETL) on Friday launched its M3 million “Recharge Reward” promotion meant to provide customers with more airtime during the festive season.
According to ETL Acting General Manager Marketing, ‘Maphunye Putsoa, the campaign was a “Christmas present” for the telecommunications giant’s customers who would have more errands to run during the Christmas and New Year holidays.
She said the campaign, which was launched in Maseru, requires customers to recharge a minimum of M10 to be in the running for an instant reward such as the doubling of the amount they recharged.
Ms Putsoa also revealed that over M3 million worth of airtime was up for grabs during the course of the promotion which ends in February 2016.
“The festive season is a busy time for everybody, and ETL wants to ease the stress of our valued customers who would be running errands of all sorts,” she said.
“We want to make their lives are easier as they fulfil those obligations with the opportunity of never running out of airtime. The instant reward will not be automatic but would depend on chance.
“We are, however, saying that at least one in 10 people, who recharge within a period of say one hour, stands a great chance of winning the reward.”
Ms Putsoa added that in addition to the “Recharge Reward” promotion, ETL was also concurrently running other promotions that would see customers winning weekly cash prizes when they buy data.
“We also have cheap calling rates for both local and international usage as well as free calling sessions on Sundays and holidays,” she said.
“Our Shoalane data plan, which enables free internet between midnight and 5am, is also still available.”
