Econet introduces Pokola data bundles

ECONET Telecom Lesotho (ETL) customers will never run-out of data as the telecommunications giant unveils data advance to complement the existing airtime advance popularly known as Pokola.

Data advance which other customers may call credit data, is the latest service introduced by Econet on Friday. This service allows customers a chance to borrow data. Just like the existing Pokola airtime advance, Pokola data advance payment is automatic and recoverable upon the next recharge or within 48hours whichever comes first.

Data advance service is available to ETL prepaid subscribers who have been with the network for at least 60 days and have no outstanding credit on the existing Pokola airtime advance. Credit limit qualification is automatic and depends on the customers’ previous usage.

Itumeleng Mpasi, Econet’s Product Manager – Data states that the service affords customers’ the opportunity to borrow data when they need it most.

“These are the most affordable data advance bundles where each bundle comes with extra data just when you need it” said Mpasi. The bundles range from 50mb at M5 to 1300mb at M50

The most appealing feature about Pokola data is the ability for the customer to borrow data for other Econet numbers while the repayment remains with the credit initiating number.

Data advance is accessed under self-service menu upon dialing *100#.  – Own correspondent
