POPULAR Durban kwaito artiste and music producer DJ Tira returns to Maseru on 4 October 2019 to perform at DJ Tseko’s birthday party at Kingdom Lounge.

The star will perform alongside other local and South African artistes such Chabz, Stevonic, Slats, Mtsuzi, Sir Schaba, Bones and Juvy among others.

DJ Tseko, born Tseko Mamonyane, told the Xpress People in a recent interview that he was happy to host another of his birthday bashes having last hosted a party of that magnitude in 2017.

“I used to enjoy celebrating my birthdays in the rural areas of Lesotho because many of my South African friends loved the adventure but because people in the rural areas do not like the commotion and uproar brought by parties, I decided to bring it to Maseru,” DJ Tseko said.

In 2017, DJ Tseko also brought DJ Tira for his birthday celebrations at Cuban Linx.

He said he was also happy to bring DJ Tira with whom he has a smooth professional relationship.

“I like working with DJ Tira. We have mutual business understanding and it is always a pleasure working with him. He is the first person I consider whenever I host my birthday bashes.

“DJ Tira is not just an artiste but also an entertainer. When he performs, he engages the crowd and ensures that people are having fun and I hope that our local artistes learn from him so that they can grow.”

He said he would continue working with DJ Tira for his amazing stage presence.

In a short video drop that is circulating on social media, DJ Tira said he was excited to perform in Lesotho. He added that revelers should expect both his old and new music at the show.

Born Mthokozi Khathi, DJ Tira is the man behind the label Afrotainment. He is also known for grooming artistes like Big Nuz, DJ C’ndo, DJ Fisherman and Dladla Mshunqisi. He is also credited for the creation of the new house music offshoot, gqom, a sound that has ruled the club and party scene in the last two years.
