MASERU — Local dance crew, South Side, are taking the dance floor by storm with their idiosyncratic moves. South Side is a dance outfit made up of 10 members, six boys and four girls. The group met at last year’s Vodacom Superstars competition.
They had entered the competition as two separate groups namely Chilla Nate and South Side.

But after being eliminated from the competition, they decided to be one mighty group to take on the world. Inspired by various television performances, South Side see their joint as one of the biggest dance crews in Africa. “Our moves are more than just entertainment but we portray different kinds of messages through dance and by so doing we can appeal to everybody,” the group said.

They said lack of sponsorship is one of their biggest career obstacles. “We encounter a number of problems that hinder our success such as lack of proper attire, transport and venue for practising,” he said.
