Bushy yet to report for training

MATLAMA midfield maestro Bushy Moletsane is yet to report to training with the defending league champions two weeks into the side’s pre-season preparations.

Matlama commenced its pre-season training on 1 July 2019 but the former Lioli midfielder has not reported for training saying he still hasn’t reached an agreement with the management regarding a new contract.

Bushy’s contract with Tse Putsoa ended last month having joined from Lioli at the beginning of last season.

He told the Sunday Express on Friday that he was still awaiting Matlama’s response on his demands before he could sign a new contract.

“We are still negotiating a new contract so I couldn’t go for training without agreeing on terms with the team,” Bushy said.

“But I think by Sunday we will know what is going to happen.”

The midfielder also said he could not rule out chances of him going back to Lioli should he fail to agree with Matlama.

“Negotiations can go either way so for now I can’t say much. However, I can still go back to Lioli,” he said.

Meanwhile, another Matlama midfielder Kefuoe Mahula was seen training with LMPS last week. LMPS public relations officer Mosiuoa Lekhooana said although the player is training with them, they are yet to Matlama for negotiations.

“For now, there is nothing really to say regarding that player. What I can tell you is that he is not an LMPS player for now and we haven’t engaged Matlama in any negotiations,” Lekhooana said.

Matlama spokesperson Tankiso Moletsane conceded that Bushy has not yet reported for training but also said Mahula returned to the team on Thursday.

“Mahula returned to train with the rest of the team on Thursday although he wasn’t here from Monday. We however, do not know where he was but we have heard rumours that he was training with LMPS although for now, he is still our player.

“All our players are training with the team except for Lebajoa Mosehlenyane (out of contract), Motebang Sera (out of contract) and Moletsane with whom we are still negotiating because he is also out of contract,” Moletsane said.
