MASERU — Local bridal boutique Dream Weddings hosted a cocktail party to re-launch its image on Thursday at DLM complex in Khubetsoana.
Dream Weddings is owned and run by a young, married couple, Khang and Fikile Khang.
The duo is passionate about giving couples the best when they exchange vows, Khang told Xpress People.
“The business was inspired by the hustle we went through when we were getting married. We had to import our attire from South Africa which is something done by most people,” Khang said.
“So we thought we should open this one-stop shop where people can get everything for their dream weddings.”
The dresses are designed and sewn by Fikile, but now that they are working on a new image they are going to import European designs.
“Clients normally bring magazines and demand dresses they see in them,” Fikile said.
“With this new range that we are bringing in, we hope we will save people from that hustle as we now have a wide variety.”
“Our aim is to be the leading wedding gown provider in Lesotho and elevate the standards on which people tie the knot.”
She added: “We will help our clients choose the right themes for their big day, which is something very important when having a wedding ceremony.”
There was a mini fashion parade to show the attendees some of the new imported designs while music crew Soft Sounds serenaded models with the smooth melodic sounds they played.
Slam poet Sheila Khala performed for the audience with what she does best: giving the best of poetry.
