LERIBE — A local insurance company, Thaba-Bosiu Risk
Solutions, on Friday presented awards to the best performing students at
Boribeng Primary School in Leribe.

Speaking at the occasion, Thaba-Bosiu Risk Solutions
managing director, ’Matokelo Seturumane, said
she wanted to celebrate Women’s Month by giving back to the community in her
village.

“We have chosen this school because we want to motivate
children who are attending this school by giving those who perform well in
their studies gifts during the celebration
of Women’s Month,” Seturumane said.

The students received school bags and other necessities
that they use on a daily basis.

Seturumane said she wants students to know that if they
work hard in their studies they will accomplish better things in life.

“You should believe in yourself no matter what the circumstances
are because everything happens the way you planned it,” she said.

She said a poor background should not serve as a barrier
to achieving one’s dreams.

“I am planning to make this an annual event as it will
motivate students to work hard as they will be hoping
to get the awards,” she said.

The school principal, Staple Machoba, thanked the company
for helping their school.

“We
have orphaned and vulnerable children who need to be helped
with their needs and by so doing we will be helping in poverty reduction and
crime prevention,” he said.
