MASERU — South Africa’s gospel sensation Benjamin Dube makes merry for the second year in a row at the Lehakoe Club in Maseru on Saturday.

Dube will share the stage with his countryman and fellow Gospel great Tshepiso Mphotle alongside our very own Tehilla Africa and Salem at a show organised by local media company Afro Media.

Joseph Ratlou of Afro media told Xpress People that they were organising this never-to-be missed show because they believe Gospel music is a genre that not only entertains but bears “the rhythmic message that rehabilitates people whilst entertaining them”.

“It also uplifts the spirits of different people and heals the broken hearted as most people find it to be the way in which they can worship and praise the Almighty God,” he said.

Ratlou said that judging by last year’s similar show, they realised that Basotho need this kind of a show.

“There are so many shows here at home about other musical genres leaving a huge gap for Gospel lovers, so we thought they also need to be catered for,” he said.

Dube is a songwriter, singer, producer, pastor and mentor to many musicians. He is a rising music legend in Africa. His music has briskly grown internationally, gracing countries like Sweden,
France and Australia.

Ratlou said that due to the rate at which the tickets are being bought. He is certain that they will have to get a bigger place next year to accommodate more people because interest is growing.
Afro Media aims at becoming the leading company that supports and uplifts local talent whilst providing world class media services.

It also engages in social responsibility programmes as it sponsored the Morija Arts and Cultural Festival.
