AVANI Hotels in Lesotho, yesterday launched their new casino loyalty programme, Unique Loyalty Program (ULP) at the AVANI Lesotho Hotel in Maseru, aimed at rewarding their loyal casino clients.
The hotel chain which also operates Maseru AVANI Hotel, said the programme would enable clients to receive points they could use to play at the machines or pay for different services including accommodation and food.
The Unique Loyalty Program – The Ultimate Privilege, is the hotel giant’s transition from the previous loyalty programme which was called Most Valued Guest (MVG).
The Maroon MVG Card has been changed to Plum under ULP, Silver to Gold, Gold to Platinum and Platinum to Titanium. The Plum card is the entry point into the loyalty program and a client needs 50 points to move from Plum to Gold, 475 points to move from Gold to Platinum and 4500 points to move from Platinum to Titanium.
Clients who changed their cards yesterday were automatically entered into a draw for six prizes which included M1000 cash, M1000 credit on the loyalty card and branded AVANI merchandise among others.
The rationale behind the six prizes was that word Unique has six letters.
People who also took pictures next to the ‘Unique’ promotional material that was on display from the AVANI Lesotho gate to the Casino entrance and posted them on Facebook and tagged AVANI Lesotho were also awarded M50 credit to play at the casino.
AVANI Hotels in Lesotho Marketing Manager, ‘Mabahlakoana Motemekoane, said that the revamped loyalty cards were introduced because the hotel was now under new management.
“The MVG was introduced while the hotels were under the management of Sun International, and now that we are under Minor Hotel Group, we are introducing a new loyalty program,” Ms Motemekoane said.
“The Unique program comes with enhancements which we will reveal to our clients later on through various promotions.
“The points that customers earn every time they play can be used to play at the machines or to pay for different services we have at the hotels which include accommodation and food.
“The programme can be joined free of charge, all is required is proof of identification to confirm that the applicant is at least 18 years old,” she said.
She further said that AVANI Lesotho supported “responsible gambling”.
“Gambling is for those who are 18 years and older. Winners know when to stop.
“For a free gambling counselling, clients can contact the gambling helpline on +27 (0) 21 675 830. AVANI Lesotho casinos are licensed casinos,” she said.
