MASERU — A local events management firm, Artefaktz Event Management Company, is set to host an arts festival during the Easter Holiday in Maseru.
The spokesman for the group, Likentso Dkay Qhobela, said the festival will be held on the weekend of April 7-8 at Maritsoana Guest House in Maseru West.
Qhobela told XpressPeople that the main purpose of the event is to showcase and educate people about Basotho culture.
“Our main motive is to showcase Basotho culture and keep people in touch with their traditions,” Qhobela said.
The festival will feature live music from Moshate Band, Kommanda Obbs, Sledge, Lakzen, Dithua Majoe and Mapule. There will also be poetry by Lyrical B, traditional dance from LCMA High Performance and storytelling by Me Matamong.
“We are giving Basotho a chance to experience Lesotho arts, food, and culture from our past to the present times.
“We are also going to sell T-shirts, head gear, and magazines,” Qhobela said.
