ROMA – DJ Davertz will hold a mini-skirt party at Kaycee’s Restaurant in Roma on Friday.
Davertz will be performing alongside other DJs from Lesotho and South Africa.
Local DJs billed to perform at the shindig are Tsepza, Shabba, Allegro and Tzozo, while the South African trio of Tonza, TQ and Mig is also expected to descend on Roma.
DJ Davertz told Xpress People the party seeks to be different from the usual bashes.
“I just want to bring something unique, something different,”  he said.
“It’s called a mini-skirt party because girls are expected to put on mini-skirts to be able to attend the party.”
There will be prizes for those wearing the shortest mini-skirts, Davertz said.
“There will be tags that will be given to 50 ladies interested in competing for three prizes whose winners will be determined by the length of their miniskirts,” he said.
“The three girls wearing one or two-centimetre skirts are likely to be the winners.
“It goes without saying the girl with the shortest skirt will win the first prize.”
He said the first prize will be a case of Red Square ciders, while second prize will be 18 cans, with the third prize winner getting six less.
Davertz, however, said non-contestants were free to wear the attire of their choice.
Davertz and friends, meanwhile, will also perform at a short-pants party in Ladybrand on Saturday.
