Airtime voucher prices unchanged

As of March 17 2014, Vodacom Lesotho has received reports of some airtime retailers selling airtime to customers at prices higher than the value stated on the voucher.

The company wishes to clarify that the retail price of vouchers has not been increased and that airtime vouchers should continue to be purchased at face value (a M5 airtime voucher should be bought for M5).

To ensure that customers continue to receive fair value for their purchase, Vodacom urges its valued customers to insist on purchasing airtime at the face value of the voucher.

If a retailer attempts to sell airtime vouchers above the printed value, customers are encouraged to buy airtime through a Vodacom shop or partner retail shops where vouchers continue to be sold at face value.

IMGP1009Alternatively, customers are able to purchase airtime through M-Pesa, where they shall continue to receive 30 percent extra FREE airtime with each purchase.

Whilst Vodacom engages with their retail channels to correct this price inflation to their valued customers, all airtime vouchers should be purchased at face-value (M5 for M5).

Customers who are sold airtime vouchers at above face-value have a right to report the retailer to Vodacom.
Vodacom strives to ensure that their customers continue to enjoy the best network, with the widest coverage at the most affordable prices.
